Staff and students run 640km in 24 hours! Back to archive
4th April 2017

Staff and students covered over 640km (400 miles) to raise more than £2,000 for charity as part of Benenden’s first ever 24-hour running event.

The event started at midday on Saturday18 March and was based in the Fitness Gym. More than 60 staff and students took part and there was always at least one person running on a treadmill over the 24 hours. Staff also worked through the night to supervise the event.

The event was organised by two students and the money will go to Breadline Africa to raise funds towards a school library for Oranjekloof Moravian Primary School.

You can view a time lapse video of the 24 hours below and it is still not too late to donate!
