The effect of these new and inspiring facilities on Benenden over the years has been transformational. However we cannot rest on our laurels. We have ambitious plans for the future. In 2015 the School Development Group set out a ten-year Centenary Vision for Benenden to ensure we secure and build upon our position as a school of excellence as we approach our 100 year anniversary.
The first two capital projects of the Centenary Vision have already been achieved – the building of the new All-Weather Pitch and Pavilion and additional on-site staff homes. The new pitch is enabling Benenden pupils to meet the demands of a complete programme of competitive sport and the opportunity to train throughout the School year and well into the evening with the benefit of floodlighting will ensure our teams remain competitive with our peer schools. The additional staff housing has enabled us to welcome many more staff families into our community and ensures we have more staff on campus and available in houses during the evenings.
The next phase of the development will focus on the West Wing of the School, comprising the School Hall, Music School and Teaching and Learning facilities within this area. This area is at the very heart of Benenden and we look forward to developing a School Hall which enables all pupils and staff to participate comfortably in School events and provides an enhanced concert hall venus for our talented musicians.
We are hugely grateful for the support that many generations have given to Benenden in the past. Your generosity to date has created the Benenden that we enjoy today. It is only with your support that we can build the Benenden of tomorrow and maintain Benenden’s position as one of the leading schools in the world.
