Oaks

I love the relaxed atmosphere, the room, the freedom.

Oaks boarding House was built, alongside Limes House, in 1993 as part of the Founders complex. The two Houses are separated by a large function room named after a previous Headmistress, Betty Clarke. The Clarke Room is host to a variety of extra-curricular activities, including a widely supported lecture programme.

Mrs Barbara Scopes has been Housemistress in Oaks since 2005; she also teaches History and is one of the School's Child Protection Officers.

The role of Deputy Housemaster is shared between Mr Simon Cullen and Mr Andrew Schagen. Mr Cullen is Head of History and Mr Schagen is Head of English.

The HM and DHMs are supported by the Matrons, who are shared with Limes House.  The Day Matron is Mrs Margaret Barnett and the Resident Matron is Mrs Jean Calcabrina.
