Support Us

Benenden is one of the UK's leading independent schools and has educated over 5,000 Benenden Seniors since it was founded in 1923. Benenden has made many enhancements to its education provision over the years – investing in facilities, broadening the curriculum, extending activities outside the classroom and developing its pastoral care.

The Complete Education enjoyed by Benenden pupils today has in large part been made possible by the generosity of support provided by the Benenden community. We thank everyone who has contributed to the School and we hope to inspire further support for our current initiatives to realize the Centenary Vision, our development plan which will take us to our milestone 100th anniversary in 2023.

The Benenden School Trust

Founded in 1982 the Benenden School Trust aims to support Benenden in maintaining its positions as one of the leading schools in the UK by helping to fund outstanding teaching and learning facilities. In addition the Trust aspires to give more girls the opportunity of a first rate Benenden education by raising funds for bursaries through the Trust Award Programme.

The work of the Trust has positively influenced almost every aspect of school life: projects from the recent past have included the building of an All-Weather Pitch and Pavilion, additional on-site staff housing, our state of the art Science Centre, the Clarke Study Centre and Eugenia Leung Library, the Theatre, the Fitness Centre and the Eco Classroom.

In addition to these tangible and visible benefits to the School the Trust has raised valuable support for the Trust Award Bursary Programme, which enables talented girls from local schools to benefit from a Benenden education, where financial considerations would otherwise have not made this possible.

We hope you enjoy learning more about the Centenary Vision and the development initiatives underpinning this ambitious plan.

If you have any questions about the Vision or wish to find out how your gift can make a positive difference to the School please email Paul Sheldon, Development Consultant or Katie Webb, Development Assistant.

We are extremely grateful to all our donors and friends, and thank you for your continued support of the School.
